After Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, he offered some of the most challenging words found in the scriptures: "Go and do likewise." This challenge reminds us that we have a God that crosses the road and binds up our hurts. We have a God that is not far off and distant, but a God that is right there with us. And as we try to think of this attribute of God, we see that God is like a friend.
