Jesus gave the church a mission: to be God's witnesses throughout all the world. We are not spectators of God's mission. We are participants. We care deeply about our local community, our own church, our own nation. But when our faith becomes only about our problems, our people, our future, we shrink the gospel. God's purposes have always been bigger than our comfort zones.
