Soap and Hope Hygiene Bags, September 16

Orange UMC launches new initiative to support the unhoused in our community. Starting on September 16th, OUMC will assemble Soap and Hope bags filled with hygiene supplies for our neighbors who use the Homestead Aquatic Center to shower.  

The Homestead Aquatic Center offers free showers, but no hygiene products are provided.  OUMC will provide bags filled with travel-sized (single use)  shampoo, liquid soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, and washcloth. Please visit our website for a complete list of items needed along with an Amazon link. Each Amazon link meets the specifications for the bags, but you are welcome to purchase elsewhere with the same specifications. 

The first Soap and Hope bags will be assembled on Tuesday, September 16th at 2:00 as part of the Share the Love Bags assembly line. Please bring donated items to the church by Sunday, September 14th.  Currently, fifty bags will be assembled each month.
